Description
The Wednesday and Friday rides leave the parking lot of the Utilities Commission on Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach at 8:00 a.m.

The ride is a 30 mile loop and speeds typically average between 19 and 20 mph for the ride.  There is a stop at a convenience store at about the 24.5 mile mark. The Mosquitoes ride in a single file pace line.  Feel free to pull for as long as you like repecting the fact that others want to make pulls as well.  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PULL.   If you are new to road cycling or do not yet have the fitness level to make a pull, feel free to simply pull off when you reach the front and work your way through the line again.  We are about everyone enjoying the ride. The maximum speed permitted is 23 mph.  If you want to go faster, we respect that and hope you respect that our group is not for you.  We moderate the speed so that the slowest rider can enjoy the ride and may reduce the upper limit to accommodate riders.

If you have questions about our ride, you can email the Mosquitoes at mlbc@cfl.rr.com or post a question on our Facebook Group page.  Our Facebook Group page is also a great source of how fast the ride has been going lately as the Garmin stats from the group rides are regularly posted for your review.
